Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of StoryIntake, operated by Green Shoot Media LLC ("we," "us" or "our"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

StoryIntake is an interview intake platform that allows teams to collect responses from sources through branded chat, voice and email workflows. The Service generates transcripts and delivers them to your team for editorial use.

3. Account Terms

  • You must be at least 18 years old to create an account.
  • You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials.
  • You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
  • You must provide accurate and complete information when creating your account and keep it up to date.
  • One person or organization may not maintain more than one free or trial account.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use the Service to:

  • Violate any applicable law or regulation.
  • Collect information from sources under false pretenses or without appropriate disclosure.
  • Harass, threaten or intimidate any person.
  • Transmit malware, viruses or other harmful code.
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service or its related systems.
  • Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Service.
  • Use the Service for any purpose that is fraudulent, deceptive or misleading.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.

5. Payment and Billing

  • Paid plans are billed monthly in advance on the date you subscribe.
  • All fees are non-refundable except where required by law or at our sole discretion.
  • We may change pricing with 30 days' notice. Continued use after a price change constitutes acceptance of the new pricing.
  • If payment fails, we may suspend access to the Service until the outstanding balance is resolved.
  • You are responsible for any applicable taxes associated with your use of the Service.

6. Intellectual Property

The Service, including its design, features, code, documentation and branding, is owned by Green Shoot Media LLC and protected by copyright, trademark and other intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute or reverse-engineer any part of the Service.

The StoryIntake name, logo and related marks are trademarks of Green Shoot Media LLC. You may not use them without our prior written consent.

7. User Content and Data

You retain ownership of all content you create, upload or collect through the Service, including interview templates, questions and organizational data.

Source responses belong to the sources who provide them. By using the Service, you represent that you have appropriate consent or authorization to collect and use source responses for your stated editorial or business purposes.

You grant us a limited license to host, store, process and transmit your content solely to provide and improve the Service. We will not use your content for any other purpose without your consent.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Green Shoot Media LLC shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, revenue, data or business opportunities arising from your use of the Service.

Our total liability for any claim arising from or related to the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement.

We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free or completely secure. We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness or reliability of any content processed through the Service.

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend and hold harmless Green Shoot Media LLC, its officers, directors, employees and agents from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your use of the Service, your violation of these Terms or your infringement of any third-party rights.

11. Termination

  • You may cancel your account at any time through your account settings or by contacting us.
  • We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms, with or without notice depending on the severity of the violation.
  • Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. We may retain your data for a reasonable period to comply with legal obligations or resolve disputes, after which it will be deleted.
  • Sections 6, 7, 8, 9, 10 and 12 survive termination of these Terms.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to its conflict-of-law provisions. Any disputes arising from these Terms or the Service shall be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Hunt County, Texas, and you consent to the personal jurisdiction of those courts.

13. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make changes, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page and, for material changes, notify you by email or through the Service. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
